New Convert grateful to Dr. Hughes for bringing the Gospel to Russia.  Affection for souls, a passion for the Gospel can be seen in Dr. Hughes' expression.

Following his conversion, this young man encouraged 30 sailor friends to attend the meeting and gave them Russian New Testaments and several came to Christ.

Dr. Hughes, pictured with the Old North Chattanooga Tennessee Church of God on Market Street, during his pastorate there.  It was, in this very building where Dr. Hughes heard the voice of God, in "Divine Tones", "I have given you the gift of evangelism."  Time proved this prophecy right.
